An authentic Taiwanese tea salon with a modern oriental atmosphere

Xiang cha, a shop specializing in authentic Taiwanese tea using Taiwanese tea leaves. This is the second shop with its first eat-in. From the beginning, they had a view to developing multiple shops, so FURTHER did total branding not only for interior design but also for logo and graphic design so that the brand’s world view could be maintained under any conditions. Olinas Kinshicho is a complex facility with shopping malls, movie theaters, offices, and condominiums, so we aimed for daily use by a wide range of age groups. The design theme is “modern oriental.” In order to establish an easy-to-understand image, key colors of red, representing the image of Taiwan, and green, representing tea leaves, were used to create a luxurious and relaxing space with a modern atmosphere lit with soft light. The name of the store, “xiang cha” (meaning “aroma” and “tea”), is featured on the wall using original graphic images of tea leaves in different shades in order to communicate their sincere dedication to tea leaves. The store conveying the warmth of Asian materials is accentuated by rattan furniture pieces handwoven by craftspersons.
