The owner, who has a long experience abroad, opened Tsunematsu in a quiet residential area where many foreigners live, because he wants to casually serve “kaiseki” cuisine, which is a traditional Japanese style, on the terrace. It is a modern style restaurant with a glass entrance and an open kitchen, which is rare for authentic Japanese food. Since kaiseki restaurants focus on cooking, the interior is often arranged in neutral colors, but Shoto Tsunematsu has a unique expression that incorporates the red color of the torii gate and the pine needle color of the store name. The “noren” which is like a Japanese curtain put at the entrance, that welcomes customers, is also dyed with a pine-inspired logo and the main color, pine needles. We hope that you will be able to enjoy the new kaiseki style through this characteristic “noren”.
